Wow thats a lot of work – slicing all those minute details. I really love tuts screencasts. Especially this wordpress series is really amazing. I am thinking of showing this to my clients so that they will appreciate how much hard work it is to design from scratch and make it functional with wordpress in the backend

  • Straderade says:

Thanks Much Drew! Learned a couple cool things on this screencast but can’t wait until Day 13.

Will you be doing more of these type tuts with more PSD’s, etc.?

  • diekzo says:

    superb job Drew!!

  • Vasili says:

You saved the arrow as arrow.jpg when you wanted to save it as a png. :P

  • M.A.Yoosuf says:

This is a great screen-cast, thanks a lot. I loved Jeff’s PSD to HTML conversation and this goes really well with it showing different ways of doing things.

The video did end abruptly for me? right at the point you sliced the contact box? not sure if that was just for me?

Thanks again, and I look forward to the next one. :)

  • Adrian says:

I’ve watched this episode and I want to see all the other. I searched for “WordPress for Designers: Day 1″ but with no luck.

Can you please post a link to the first tutorial from this series?

  • CgBaran Tuts says:

Hard to wait for more to come

  • Michael says:

When you get away from the psd again, can you go into detail about tweaking the archives? I really want to have my archives only show posts from specific categories but for the life of me, i haven’t found a way. You have the best tuts out there btw

  • Gavin says:

Hey thanks TheSySide, that is a great link.

Can’t wait for the next one….

  • jason buck says:

Great work as always… When you sliced the plane shouldn’t you have saved it as a png rather than a jpg? Jpg files have no transparency so your plane will have a white background.

  • nacho says:

    this is amazing dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    your job is incredible
I hope that you continue postings this type of things

greeting you from the south of the south Uruguay

  • Doug >>> Love the work you are doing! Coming from a total design background and getting into freelance work with WP is amazing. I have learned so much from your series and really hope that you continue these series on into other topics.

    Thanks again,

  • William says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you! for doing this You explained so much. Once I get every thing up I will display to you what I learned. Thank you so very much once again!

  • DJ says:

This is NOT tagged in the screencasts – It doesn’t show up with the rest of the series! Please correct so this one shows up with all the other wordpress screencasts and doesn’t jump from day 11 to day 13!

  • Leslie says:

I’m amazed at how detail-oriented this series has been. Great job, Drew!

  • KayRoseDesign says:

I find the best way to learn the code is to look at it, then delete it, then re-type it, i just keep doing that until i can replicate the whole page.

It may seem repetitve but it works :)
