 200,000 Members and Counting!
The Envato marketplaces have reached a new milestone – we've surpassed 200,000 members!
It feels like only yesterday that we were celebrating 100,000 members. In fact, it was less than 3 years ago that we celebrated our very first member!
Our 200,000th member, Adreher, has been credited with US$200 to spend on the marketplaces as a little thank you for joining us. Thank you to everyone who's joined us to buy files, sell work, or just contribute to the community.
On August 21st Envato will be 3 years old, and we have a big celebration planned (hint: authors will be especially happy with this one)! So stay tuned, and here's to the next 100,000 members!
 By Popular Demand: The Resale Licence
We have been getting a LOT of requests from buyers wanting a licence to use files in products for resale, so we’ve made one!
The licence is called the Single Use Conditional Resale Permitted Licence ("Conditional Resale"). You can read about it here.
So for instance, you could buy this licence if you wanted to:
- Put a GraphicRiver graphic on a t-shirt for sale in a store.
- Put a FlashDen preloader into a site theme for sale.
- Put a VideoHive video and an AudioJungle loop into software that would allow people to make their own custom video with music.
- Put a ThemeForest theme into software that would allow people to create intranets.

 FlashDen Goes Local
On July 16th, 2009, history was made as we hosted the very first FlashDen meetup group in Salt Lake City, Utah, in the USA. The doors were open to Flash lovers of all ages, including two of FlashDen's top selling authors for July. The agenda included a lecture on creating your first Papervision3d file and eating way too much pizza! The best part by far was getting to meet the local Flash pros and especially the other FlashDenners.
 New WordPress License
A huge change was made on ThemeForest this week. To better respect the "open source" spirit of WordPress, on August 4th, we added a new GPL license to all WordPress themes.
What does this mean exactly? In a sentence or two, all WP code is bound to a license which allows for redistribution. If you're an author whose feet are beginning to tremble, don't worry! Your images, stylesheets, HTML, and JavaScripts will still retain our original ThemeForest license, for maximum protection. To better understand the specifics of this switch, please refer to this blog announcement. It's a major, but essential change on our site.  AudioJungle Audio used in iPhone Game, Free copies to Give Away!
We were very excited to hear that a brand new iPhone and iPod Touch game called Space Rush has recently been released in the Apple App Store featuring audio purchased from AudioJungle! This is just one of many great examples of how AudioJungle audio can be used in commercial projects. We'd love to hear what projects you've used AudioJungle audio for, so please get in touch with us via the blog, the forums, or via the site manager!  Generator wins the $2k Project File Competition!
VideoHive's first competition has come to a close. We called and the authors listened. Pumping in close to 100 project files, the competition was fierce, but three lucky authors took home the gold. Drudoran took third place, and was awarded $300. Second place went to Plamencvetanov who received $700. And finally Generator took the top spot, landing $1,000 and a shiny Competition badge!
